Them Hazzard Boys Are at It Again
Silly but has a gentle mood to information technology that makes it slight fun
Years afterward the family accept grown upwardly and gone their separate ways, Uncle Jessie organises a reunion to bring all the clan back together once again for a party. Once Luke, Bo, Daisy and Cooter are all back he tells them that he needs help to fight a property developer who is trying to build a theme park on the swamp and build access across his property. The developer challenges the boys to a race her stock auto against theirs with the winner taking all. When Daisy makes a discovery that all may non be what information technology appears she is kidnapped can the boys rescue Daisy and win the race?
I watched the Television set show when I was younger but I tin can't remember much beyond comedy lawmen, Daisy's torso and car chase subsequently car chase, and then maybe this pic wasn't aimed at me but I watched it anyhow. The reunion has a thin plot that is a little daffy simply washed with a slight bit of tongue in cheek. It gets a little stretched at times (the last race is a bit of a joke) every bit it takes on too many commitments without plumbing fixtures them in well, only the calorie-free tone helps this.
The one-act is gentle and helps the film generally. The car chases are quite basic simply there are 1 or ii moments where the stunt drivers deserve a lot of credit (a mid air standoff is a high bespeak) simply the really inexpensive dorsum project spoils any illusion of who is in the cars for existent. If you were looking for genuine tension or excitement then you're in the wrong identify I'm afraid.
The cast look genuinely happy to be back and there is a respectful tone for those who had died since the Tv set testify wrapped Booke'due south Boss Hog being the biggest loss I recollect. All the same everyone does what they are supposed to do. Uncle Jessie doesn't await that much older, Wopat and Schneider relish themselves and Bach even so looks good despite not quite having the same body that she had as a youngster! Best reprises his office well and besides covers for the loss of Booke. The addition of some martial arts action in the shape of Cynthia Rothrock adds a piddling spice to the mix and stops it becoming old too quickly.
Overall this is all a fleck silly and is probably best served to fans however there is plenty fun here to justify those of us who watched the series but wouldn't call ourselves fans.

Welcome Back Dukes
It is quite rare for a Goggle box reunion movie to be as good equally a series itself merely this Dukes of Hazzard picture was corking.
The original Dukes of Hazzard series was just plain fun-it was the type of show anyone could enjoy. This movie recreated the magic of the original serial and even though the stars were a lot older that made absolutely no difference to me-I all the same liked them and they were still convincing in their roles.
The picture show may not have had Boss Hogg in but to it's credit they did acknowledge Boss Hogg different some Telly reunion movies which seem to forget certain characters.
A bully film which volition be loved past fans of the TV serial.

Hazzard County comes to life 1 more than time!
Tom Wopat and John Schneider revive their eighty's characters as, once again, the "Practiced Ol' Boys" rise up against abuse in the Southward, this fourth dimension in the grade of a businesswoman (Stevens), with the help of some friends from the former serial.
You know, I grew up in the Dukes' era, and I was mildly surprised at how good of a job manager Lewis Teague did with this picture. I know that the original serial has some corny plots by what we see nowadays, but, for those of us who grew upwards in that time, there wasn't one of united states live who enjoyed the original serial without picturing themselves behind the wheel of the General Lee. (I had to mention the car - after all, it was the machine(south) that made the jump, not those boys.) A little older, perhaps, but the actors walked in and picked upwardly on their original characters similar they've been doing them for the final twenty years.

Dukes Reunion . . . Yee-Haa!!!
The Dukes of Hazzard: Reunion! was a picture long in waiting. Information technology was nice to come across the Duke boys and the General Lee dorsum in action. If you like the show, you would definitely like the movie. The quondam "salvage the farm" technique was used, but that is what all fans of the evidence are accustomed to. Fifty-fifty though Sorrell Booke, aka Boss Hogg, has passed, they did a lovely task of incorporating his retention into the picture show. My merely trouble was with the slight prop imperfections, merely what exercise yous wait. Hopefully another motion-picture show is in the works, even though Denver Pyle, Uncle Jesse, is also no longer with u.s.a.. I'chiliad gone.

Best Reunion Movie For This Series
Warning: Spoilers
THIS Comment MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS :
I never idea they would ever do it, so I was totally blown away when I saw the Dukes of Hazzard Reunion on CBS dorsum in 1997. The series became hot all over again when it played on TNN and now on CMT. Information technology was indeed distressing that Sorrell Booke as Boss Hogg had died. I recollect hearing well-nigh it during my senior year in college. But his being acknowledged was fantastic. I never once imagined Rosco as both boss and sheriff of Hazzard, but that made it even more enjoyable. I feel that Catherine Bach still looks great every bit Daisy Duke. Okay, certain she didn't have the same physique she did in the series, but you accept to understand. She recently had a baby prior to filming this movie and she was in her 40's at the time every bit opposed to beingness in her 20s/'xxx'southward during the series. Non many people take that same physique when they get older. She looked fantastic!! Tom Wopat and John Schneider had no trouble returning to the roles of Bo and Luke Duke. At present Bo being a NASCAR driver, I could believe, I felt that Luke being a principal fire-eater was a fleck odd. Daisy had a proficient catch upwards story of being in a failed marriage and she put herself through higher and graduate schoolhouse studying ecology. Great to come across Enos back and now he's a tough competent cop from Fifty.A. but still maintains his honest, shy, adolescent charm. I loved that he and Daisy courted and was looking forrad to their marriage and the cease of the picture, only to be profoundly disappointed that the wedding ceremony was called off because Daisy's idiot ex husband shows up by accident.
James Best is Funnier than e'er equally Rosco P. Coltrane, at present the head honcho of Hazzard County and his scenes with Stella Stevens as Mama Max were accented jewels to watch. I priceless scene was the emotional scene when he talks to the portrait of the late Boss Hogg.
I loved the fact that Cooter also served in Congress but like Ben Jones did in existent life. And it was great to run across Rick Hurst return as Cletus, particularly since the series never revealed where he vanished to when he departed during the fifth season.
The only thing I didn't similar about the movie was Bubba and Bertha Jo. Now I know that these movies need supportive characters, but surely they could have come up with better. Bubba and Betha Jo got on my fretfulness and the fact that they married instead of Daisy and Enos fabricated me despise them even more. But it is still a terrific reunion movie and specially to encounter Bo and Luke racing around in the General Lee simply similar the former days. Information technology is particularly a great hazard to see Denver Pyle ane more time as Uncle Jesse since sadly, he would laissez passer away on Christmas of that aforementioned year. The Dukes of Hazzard Reunion is a picture I will gladly requite two thumbs up.

Better than the original show!
This picture show was a lot of fun. Lots of fun jokes. The original cast looks great. Stella Stevens is a riot as Mama Max.

A Good Old Time
I bought and watched this on Prime Video.
Prime Video has Reunion (1997) and Vudu has Hazzard In Hollywood (2000), each are $ten.
They managed to make near of this feel like the original bear witness, just with older people.
The risk office of the story more than or less works.
Emily Proctor (West Wing, CSI Miami) plays a mechanic in this.
Action/Fight star Cynthia Rothrock is a fighter in this and also best friends with Daisy Knuckles.
This was a good fourth dimension.

Rosscoooooe Peeeeee Coltrayne - yeeee ha!
Ah, such sweet memories. The squeal of tyres on mud (!), the free bums in tight shorts shots, the sped upwardly action sequences and Daisy Knuckles (looking a footling less fantastic than I recall, but all the same a fine lookin' woman) - does it get whatever improve? Well, it might've been had Boss Hogg still been with united states of america. :( Damned funny watching them all run around, a trivial butterball and wrinkly but, remainder-assured, information technology's however total of the practiced old fashioned Duke over-acting complete with woeful plot. :) Dem Adept Ol' Duke Boys haven't changed much; I swear Bo is nonetheless wearing the aforementioned jeans he wore back in '77. And then, if y'all get a chance to spotter this reunion, git on down to the Boar's Nest, sink a couple of brews and let out an old "Yeee Ha!" for old times sake. But bulldoze home rubber, ya hear!

A reunion? They should've tossed their invitations.
Warning: Spoilers
The dukes and all of their friends return to Hazzard county for a reunion festival, and have new adventures which include a anticipated plot about a greedy woman who wants to buy Uncle Jesse's land, and plenty of car chases. Despite aging and deceased actors, this movie manages to retain well-nigh of it'southward original fashion. The characters still act like you would expect them to, and the activeness is as entertaining equally ever. A special kudos can become out to the casting department for getting all of the original actors they could, and non trying to cover up Sorrell Burke'southward death by having another thespian play Boss Hogg.
That'southward pretty much all the good I tin say for this moving-picture show. Other than that, Roscoe Coltrane merely isn't as funny without his "footling fatty buddy" effectually to constantly harass and degrade him. It'southward not quite every bit funny to see him every bit the new "dominate", although it is fitting for his graphic symbol. Seeing him as a dimwitted sheriff was funnier. The other characters work better, but it's difficult to meet Denver Pyle struggle to say his lines with his impending death of lung cancer.
And now the major flaw-Political Definiteness. This movie, similar many other Tv set shows and movies from the 90s, was injected with an overdose of pc. The "Tough Man" competition is changed to the "Tough Person" contest, there is a 100 pound blonde female wrestler who physically harms at to the lowest degree one-half the male cast, including her boyfriend, which Daisy seems to remember is a victory for all women everywhere. The bad woman basically turns good in the end to avert being arrested, while her male underlings learn nothing and are abused as a effect. (One guy is even taken for a ride in the trunk of the General Lee. And in the end, Daisy decides not to ally poor Enos at their Wedding, just because she basically didn't feel like it. What a cop out! Geez, they might besides have removed the amalgamated flag from the Full general Lee!
Merely the worst part is, there really isn't a whole lot of laughs. What made the original series so funny was Dominate Hogg and Roscoe's banter- which, like I said before, tin't be found in this motion-picture show.
Anyway, long-fourth dimension fans who don't mind the PC, and are really interested in seeing what happened to the characters may find it entertaining. To anybody else, it'south simply a dumb, dumb moving picture.

Not too bad... just similar the TV show!
Warning: Spoilers
I am a huge fan of the Telly bear witness, and every bit this motion picture was so similar, I enjoyed almost every minute of it. It was great to see Luke and Bo back and looking great - still the same former boys! Daisy was wonderful -a potent woman and withal a lovely one. Enos came back! YAY! He and Daisy finally hooked upward! YAY! Roscoe was himself also! Uncle Jesse was cracking as the caput of the family - he will be missed. As is Dominate - the pseudo-villainy of the man was missing from this, only Roscoe followed in his footsteps well.
Alarm: Hither Be SPOILERS!!! What I didn't like was that Daisy seemed to be flaky at the end. I never got that out of the Tv set show, and I really didn't think that she would break Enos' heart similar that; only saying that she can't get through with the wedding ceremony because she saw her ex. She ought to know Enos is non similar her ex. He was wonderful as the still loyal man.
And my only question is - when are Bo and Luke going to get hitched? Some lucky girl out there is waiting to be a Mrs. Duke.

A Pleasant Homecoming
Warning: Spoilers
Reunion shows are unremarkably a mixed bag. On the one hand, information technology is always tempting to meet your favorite shows as a kid and recapture by viewing pleasance. On the flip side, many of these re-makes are not well done, and they negate the adept memories these shows agree. The Dukes Of Hazzard Reunion does a credible job for the about part of honoring the original series, providing a plausible storyline and non straying too far from the original concept.
The show opens by getting us reacquainted with the principal characters as one past one they converge on Uncle Jesse'south farm. Bo is at present a professional race motorcar driver. Luke works for the Forestry Service. Cooter is a congressman, while Daisy is a grad student at (appropriately) Knuckles Academy. While Enos works for the LAPD- a nod to his departure from the original series- Roscoe has inherited the deceased Boss Hogg's fortune and is double dipping as both Sheriff AND County Commissioner. The Duke association must stop crooked country developer Mama Max (Stella Stevens) from building a theme park in Hazzard Swamp- the land on which the Knuckles Subcontract sits. Along the manner, we're treated to the usual howdy-jinks which characterized the serial; car chases, bumbling cops, not-too-bright criminals and fun and adventure with our two chief stars and the most famous Dodge Charger in history. Information technology is a theme that works well because of its familiarity.
"The Dukes" is not without some sadness and regret. The late Sorrell Booke, a wonderful graphic symbol actor who masterfully portrayed Boss Hogg, is non on hand (There is a wonderful, touching scene in which a tearful Rosco speaks to a painting of Boss in his function). Denver Pyle (Uncle Jesse) was ill with cancer when this movie was fabricated yet gamely soldiered on. Gone is Waylon Jennings, the deep voiced land music legend and Dukes Balladeer. And those expecting to see sexpot Catherine Bach- the object of every male fantasy in the fourscore's- volition surely be a bit disappointed, every bit age has made her a mere mortal.
Despite these factors, the original Dukes Of Hazzard holds fond personal memories of childhood, and this movie brought many of them back while successfully paying tribute to the serial.

Long awaited and generally well washed!
The plot and surviving bandage were bang-up here equally we see the Knuckles Family and the lawmen in fine action again, this time to try to deal with a kleptomaniacal developer and her cohorts. A nice capstone to an onetime fun family friendly series with an absolutely circuitous legacy.
Certainly, compared to the unrelated R-rated later day movies of the newer casts, both Reunion Telly movies of the surviving original cast mates are raw gems of decency!

Average ... at best
Warning: Spoilers
My 10-year old son and I merely finished watching the reunion on CMT, and information technology's the 2d time i've seen it ... it was his first. i vaguely remembered non liking this reunion, now i remember. Enos and Daisy'due south marriage doesn't happen, Cooter's a Congressman? The main thing that really seems to bother me is that But Bo drives the General Lee. Why is that? Did John Schneider's ego crusade him to need that in his contract? I've washed some searching on the internet but i tin can't seem to discover this discussed anywhere.
The plot was predictably thin in regards to original content. Merely, how many of us were expecting earth-shattering suspense or mind-blowing changes?
